A foot rest is the cheapest ergonomic thing you can buy and the one most people skip. If your chair is set for your desk, your feet often end up dangling or reaching, and that is what makes the backs of your thighs ache by three o'clock.
This one is memory foam, so it takes the shape of your feet rather than pressing back at them. Body heat softens it over a minute or two.
The teardrop profile is the useful bit: flat side down it is a still rest, and turned over it tilts, so your ankles keep moving instead of locking into one angle. Neither is better; alternating is.
The base is beaded rubber. A foot rest that slides forward every time you push against it is worse than none, and that is the failure this design is aimed at.
The cover unzips and machine washes cold, which matters for something that lives under a desk and is used with shoes off.
