Shipping & returns
Tracked delivery anywhere in Australia. It is free on orders of $75 or more, and a flat $27.50 below that. Allow 5 to 7 days, after a 24 to 48 hour handling time.
Change of mind is not a legal right in Australia, so the 15 days we give you from delivery is our own policy rather than a statutory return, and the goods have to come back in resaleable condition. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery. You cover the cost of returning it unless the item is faulty.
If it arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, we put it right at no cost to you under the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law, return postage included. Those guarantees cannot be excluded.
Looking after it
Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not soak it. Lift rather than drag it across a desk, which is what chips a board edge.
About this product
Two shelf pieces you arrange to fit the desk you actually have.
62 x 17 x 35cm assembled, in melamine-faced engineered wood, weighing 2.42kg.
A desk shelf in two separate parts rather than one fixed unit.
Put them together for a short tall shelf, apart for a long low one, or at an angle into a corner.
62 x 17 x 35cm across the widest arrangement, in melamine-faced engineered wood.
The edges are sealed, which is the part of a board shelf that usually fails first.
2.42kg, so rearranging it is a two-minute job. Black, brown or white.

Most desk organisers are one shape and you either have room for it or you do not. This one is two pieces, and that single decision is what makes it worth buying.

Pushed together they make a compact shelf tower. Pulled apart they span the back of a desk as a long low shelf. Set at an angle they follow a corner. The arrangement is yours and you can change it in two minutes.

The board is melamine-faced engineered wood with the edges sealed. Edge sealing is the detail worth caring about: an unsealed board shelf swells at the corners the first time something is spilled near it, and this one does not have that weakness.

It is a tabletop unit, so there is nothing to screw into the desk and nothing to screw into the wall. It sits where you put it.
At 2.42kg it is light. That is a virtue for rearranging and a limit on what you load it with: books and folders are fine, a monitor is not what it is for.
Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
You can change your mind. Change of mind is not a legal right in Australia, so the 15 days we give you from delivery is our own policy rather than a statutory return, and the goods have to come back in resaleable condition. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery.
If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. Under the Australian Consumer Law our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded: they must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and do what we said they would. If they do not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. For a major failure the choice between a refund and a replacement is yours, not ours. We pay the return postage. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.
Got questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
How big is the desktop organiser?
62 x 17 x 35cm in its widest arrangement. It is two pieces, so the footprint changes with how you set it up.
Is it really two separate parts?
Yes, and that is the point. Together they are a tall narrow shelf, apart they are a long low one, and at an angle they follow a corner.
What is it made of?
Melamine-faced engineered wood with sealed edges.
What colours can I get?
Black, brown or white.
Does it need assembling?
Yes, and it is quick. The parts slot and fix together, and you can take it apart again to rearrange it.
Can I put a monitor on it?
We would not. It is 2.42kg of board designed for books and stationery, not a monitor riser.
Will it hold books?
Yes, that is what it is for. Books, folders, stationery and plants.
Does it fix to the desk?
No, it is a tabletop unit and it stands on its own.
How deep is it?
17cm, which takes a folder or an A4 tray comfortably.
Is it heavy enough to stay put?
It stays where you put it under normal use. It is light, so it will move if you shove it.
Can I use it somewhere other than a desk?
Yes. A shelf, a windowsill or a kitchen counter all work; it does not care what it is standing on.
Does it smell?
It is a sealed melamine board rather than a raw one, and the manufacturer states it is formaldehyde free. Give it a day out of the box if you are sensitive to new-furniture smell.
Is it recyclable?
The manufacturer states 100 percent recyclable. Whether your council takes engineered board is a question for the council.
Can I buy just one piece?
No, it is sold as the pair.
How many will fit on a standard desk?
One arrangement across the back of a 120cm desk leaves plenty of working room. Two sets is more shelf than most desks want.
How much is delivery on the Desktop Organiser?
Free on orders of $75 or more. Below that it is $27.50 including GST, whatever you order. Nothing is added at the end.
How long will it take to arrive?
5 to 7 days after a 24 to 48 hour handling time. The handling time is the part before it leaves us and the 5 to 7 days is the delivery itself.
Is there a faster delivery option?
Not through the website. Every order goes on the same tracked service. If you need something by a particular date, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
Do you deliver across the whole of Australia?
Yes, every state and territory. We are an online supplier with no shop or showroom, which is part of how the pricing works.
Do the prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on this site is what you pay in Australian dollars, GST included.
Can I change my mind after it arrives?
You have 15 days under our own returns policy. Change of mind is not a legal right in Australia, so this is us choosing to offer it rather than a statutory return. Return postage is yours and a $39 handling charge applies to a change-of-mind return.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
Tell us and we will sort it. Under the Australian Consumer Law goods have to be of acceptable quality, match their description and do what we said they would, and if they do not that is our problem to fix rather than yours to pay for. Email theteam@customersupport.care with a photograph and your order number.
Can I cancel after ordering?
Until it ships, yes. Contact us within 12 hours, because most orders leave within 24. A 12.5 percent service and processing fee applies to a cancellation.
Do I get a receipt and a tracking number?
A receipt by email as soon as payment goes through, and a second email with the tracking number once the order ships.
What payment methods do you take?
Card payments through our checkout, and PayPal. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored by us.
What currency are your prices in?
Australian dollars. Every price is the price you pay in AUD, with no conversion at the end.
Is there a discount code?
Yes. `valued-customer` takes 15 percent off your goods at the cart. It applies to the products rather than to the delivery.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. We are an online supplier with no physical shop or showroom, and that is deliberate: the saving goes into the price rather than into a lease.
Can I buy several Desktop Organisers for an office?
Yes, and if you want more than a handful use the wholesale quote page and we will price it properly rather than making you add them to the cart one at a time.
Who are you, exactly?
Home Office Company, a division of BuyFactory Direct Pty Ltd, ABN 30 656 628 938. Our administration office is Suite 307, Norwest Central, 12 Century Circuit, Norwest NSW 2153. The company details are on every legal page rather than buried.
