This is two cushions sold as one thing, and they do different jobs. The seat cushion changes where your weight sits. The back cushion changes the shape of your lower spine.
The seat is U-shaped, which means the section under your coccyx is cut away. Sitting on a hard chair puts a surprising share of your weight straight onto the tailbone, and removing the material there moves it out to the sit bones instead.
The back cushion is contoured to the lumbar curve and has two straps so it stays where you put it. A lumbar cushion that slides down behind you within an hour is the most common way this kind of product fails, and the straps are the answer to it.
Both are high-density memory foam. The cover is a black polyester mesh, and it comes off and goes in the machine, which matters for something you sit on every day.
