Shipping & returns
Tracked delivery anywhere in Australia. It is free on orders of $75 or more, and a flat $27.50 below that. Allow 5 to 7 days, after a 24 to 48 hour handling time.
Change of mind is not a legal right in Australia, so the 15 days we give you from delivery is our own policy rather than a statutory return, and the goods have to come back in resaleable condition. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery. You cover the cost of returning it unless the item is faulty.
If it arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, we put it right at no cost to you under the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law, return postage included. Those guarantees cannot be excluded.
Looking after it
Keep it upright and out of the way of drinks. Dust the sockets with the power off. If it ever gets warm in normal use, take some load off it rather than ignoring it.
About this product
Twelve sockets and six USB ports in a tower, not a cable snake.
Each layer switches independently, the USB ports share a switch, and the whole thing is 14.5cm square.
A vertical power tower with twelve AC outlets and six USB charging ports.
Surge, overload and short-circuit protection are all included.
Each layer has its own switch, and one switch at the bottom controls all the USB ports.
The outlets are widely spaced, so a big adapter does not block its neighbours.
14.5cm square and 21.3cm tall, weighing about a kilo. Black or white.

The problem a power tower solves is not the number of sockets, it is the shape. A flat twelve-way board needs half a metre of floor and every plug fights its neighbour. Standing the same sockets up puts them in a 14.5cm square.

The spacing is the second half of it. Wall-wart adapters are the reason a power board with eight sockets gives you five usable ones, and the outlets here are spaced far enough apart that an oversized adapter does not cover the next one.

Six USB ports with charge recognition handle phones, headphones and anything else that would otherwise take an adapter and an AC socket. They share a switch at the bottom, so you can cut them all at night without unplugging anything.

Each AC layer has its own switch. That is genuinely useful under a desk: monitors and a dock on one layer that stays on, chargers on another you turn off when you finish.
Protection is surge, overload and short circuit, and the AC side is rated at 2500W. Read that as a ceiling for the whole tower rather than per socket, and do not run a heater off it.
Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
You can change your mind. Change of mind is not a legal right in Australia, so the 15 days we give you from delivery is our own policy rather than a statutory return, and the goods have to come back in resaleable condition. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery.
If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. Under the Australian Consumer Law our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded: they must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and do what we said they would. If they do not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. For a major failure the choice between a refund and a replacement is yours, not ours. We pay the return postage. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.
Got questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
How many sockets does the desk power strip have?
Twelve AC outlets and six USB charging ports.
What is the power rating?
2500W on the AC side. That is the total for the tower, not per outlet.
Does it have surge protection?
Yes, plus overload and short-circuit protection.
Can I switch parts of it off?
Each layer has its own switch and the USB ports share a switch at the bottom, so you can leave a monitor on and cut the chargers.
Will a big plug block the next socket?
That is what the wide spacing is for. An oversized adapter fits without covering its neighbour, which is the usual reason a twelve-way board gives you eight usable outlets.
What size is it?
14.5cm square and 21.3cm tall, weighing 1.06kg.
What colours can I get?
Black or white.
Do the USB ports charge fast?
They have intelligent charge recognition, so they match what the device asks for. It is a charging port rather than a fast-charge brick.
Can I mount it on the desk?
Yes, that is the removable desk-mount part. It can sit free or be mounted.
Can I plug a heater or a kettle into it?
We would not. The 2500W is a total for the tower and a high-draw appliance on a desk board is how boards fail. Use a wall socket.
Is the cable long?
It is a standard desk-length lead with a right-angle plug, which is what lets it sit flat behind furniture.
Does it work with Australian plugs?
It is sold for the Australian market with Australian sockets.
Can I use it in a rack or under a desk?
Under a desk is exactly what it is for. It is not a rack-mount unit.
Is there an indicator light?
The switches are illuminated, so you can see at a glance which layers are live.
How many can I daisy-chain?
None, and no power board should be. Plug it into a wall socket on its own.
How much is delivery on the Desk Power Strip?
Free on orders of $75 or more. Below that it is $27.50 including GST, whatever you order. Nothing is added at the end.
How long will it take to arrive?
5 to 7 days after a 24 to 48 hour handling time. The handling time is the part before it leaves us and the 5 to 7 days is the delivery itself.
Is there a faster delivery option?
Not through the website. Every order goes on the same tracked service. If you need something by a particular date, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
Do you deliver across the whole of Australia?
Yes, every state and territory. We are an online supplier with no shop or showroom, which is part of how the pricing works.
Do the prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on this site is what you pay in Australian dollars, GST included.
Can I change my mind after it arrives?
You have 15 days under our own returns policy. Change of mind is not a legal right in Australia, so this is us choosing to offer it rather than a statutory return. Return postage is yours and a $39 handling charge applies to a change-of-mind return.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
Tell us and we will sort it. Under the Australian Consumer Law goods have to be of acceptable quality, match their description and do what we said they would, and if they do not that is our problem to fix rather than yours to pay for. Email theteam@customersupport.care with a photograph and your order number.
Can I cancel after ordering?
Until it ships, yes. Contact us within 12 hours, because most orders leave within 24. A 12.5 percent service and processing fee applies to a cancellation.
Do I get a receipt and a tracking number?
A receipt by email as soon as payment goes through, and a second email with the tracking number once the order ships.
What payment methods do you take?
Card payments through our checkout, and PayPal. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored by us.
What currency are your prices in?
Australian dollars. Every price is the price you pay in AUD, with no conversion at the end.
Is there a discount code?
Yes. `valued-customer` takes 15 percent off your goods at the cart. It applies to the products rather than to the delivery.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. We are an online supplier with no physical shop or showroom, and that is deliberate: the saving goes into the price rather than into a lease.
Can I buy several Desk Power Strips for an office?
Yes, and if you want more than a handful use the wholesale quote page and we will price it properly rather than making you add them to the cart one at a time.
Who are you, exactly?
Home Office Company, a division of BuyFactory Direct Pty Ltd, ABN 30 656 628 938. Our administration office is Suite 307, Norwest Central, 12 Century Circuit, Norwest NSW 2153. The company details are on every legal page rather than buried.
